Flamenco has been a source of fascination for Bettina Castaño since childhood. She is now examining the form as a kind of fusion of many different cultures. She has taken a close look at its Indian, Persian and Moorish features, and profiles these in her performances.
She is equally at home with famous Romani musicians from different countries and symphony orchestras and classical music artists.
Castaño has her own dance studio in Seville. She has put on more than 30 dance and music performances, written flamenco guidebooks, and produced DVDs. She tours the world performing.
